The housekeeping staff of a 5-star hotel in Nanning City discovered this "strange object" on August 20. During the day, the hotel reported the incident to the police.

According to Dang, a representative of this hotel, the hotel’s policy is to clean the room after check-out and leave the hotel. After the incident was discovered, two women who had just been in the room were summoned to the local police station to as‌sist in the investigation.

One of these women, 23, admitted to leaving used tampons in the warm. She suggested writing an apology letter to the hotel.

However, Dang said the hotel did not agree to accept this woman’s apology.

Local police are still extending investigations to determine the motive of throwing sanitary napkins into the woman’s warm hotel.

This is not the first time the hotel kettle in Nam Ninh has been used by customers for "not beautiful" purposes. In July, a guest found a warm sock after he drank three cups of warm water.
