Lek Chailert, founder of Save Elephant elephant protection organization in Thailand, on August 15 shared an image of an elephant serving in Perahera festival in Kandy, Sri Lanka. What makes many people obsess that it is too skinny, sick.

However, when appearing in the festival, the 70-year-old Tiriki elephant was covered with a cloak that was completely covered, so no one could see its reality.

"No one saw its sickness because of the loose coat that had been covered. Nor did anyone see its flowing tears because the decorative light was shining on the masked mask," Lek described.

Many people resent it when they see the real image of an old elephant. Save Elephant and many other visitors have called on people to join hands and condemn animal abuse. They also sent a reflection to the Sri Lankan government so that this "cruelty" could end.

During the Parahera festival, Tiriki elephant is one of 70 elephants used to parade every night, for 10 consecutive days. Accompanying it were dancers, circus artists, fire blowers ... These elephants had to walk many kilometers, because this activity was in the ceremony of good luck of the ceremony.
