In a statement, the Panama Ministry of Health said it had recorded an unprecedented high number of new cases of COVID-19 during the day with 2,806 cases on December 12, bringing the total number of cases in the Central American country to 190,585.

Panama recorded 3,331 deaths from COVID-19, with an additional 22 on December 12.

Meanwhile, Canada recorded the total number of cases exceeding 450,000 cases. Specifically, Canadian television network CTV said that as of the afternoon of December 12, the country confirmed a total of 453,257 cases and 13,337 cases did not pass.

Public Health Canada announced the average number of cases this North American country in the past 7 days up to 6,543 cases / day. The number of people with serious illness continues to increase across the country. Statistics show that in the last 7 days, an average of 2,900 people with COVID-19 each day are being treated in hospitals, of which 565 people need treatment and special care .
