In the UK , which is set to resume a blockade on June 1, senior advisers expressed concern that the government was opening too soon.

"Covid-19 spread too fast to lift blockades in the UK," said Jeremy Farrar, a member of the government’s emergency advisory group.

India over the weekend said it would begin to relax the blockade order to more than 1 billion people starting in early June, despite having just experienced a record-breaking Covid-19 case.

Iran has announced that it will allow resumption of collective prayer activities, despite an increasing number of cases in the most serious epidemic zone in the Middle East.

According to AFP , after months of stagnation due to the epidemic, the economic losses from blockade and social gap are becoming more serious. Epidemic makes poor people vulnerable. Pope Francis called for a "more just society" in the post-Covid-19 world and wanted everyone to act "to end the epidemic of poverty."
