In a recent interview with Variety magazine , Bong Joon Ho revealed that he is currently developing the script for the next two projects. The first is a film using Korean, with horror colors mixed action. The rest is an English psychological film based on real events.

Although they belong to different genres, both will carry a small scale like the recent filmmaker Mother (2009) and Parasite (2019).

The director said, “My next Korean movie will be set in Seoul, and will bring horror and action colors. But it’s hard to identify a specific category for that project. ”

“The other one, my English-language film is in the main series and is based on a true event that occurred in 2016. The script is not yet complete, but the film will have half shot in the UK, half shot. in the US, ”he added.

Bong Joon Ho has not revealed anything more about the next two projects that he pursues. However, with the success of Parasite , the filmmakers probably will not face many difficulties in attracting investment.

This year, his Parasite won the Palme d’Or at the Cannes Film Festival, and attracted 10 million moviegoers in his homeland.
