On Monday morning (August 19), a 5-year-old boy and his 3-year-old sister drove his dad’s SUV out onto the street and collided with a motorbike. According to the Yanzhao Evening News, the parents of two children were away when their babies were sleeping. Waking up at 7 am, his brother did not find his parents and decided to ask his sister to look for him.

After seeing his dad’s SUV parked outside the house, the boy took the key and decided to drive. Two children control the car in the right way that parents often work every day. After walking 1km, the car collided with a motorbike while trying to turn to the road. The surrounding people after discovering something unusual came running and instructed the boy to turn off the engine. Fortunately, no one did not experience any injuries.

The 5-year-old brother sat in the driver’s seat and the 3-year-old girl sat in the back seat of the SUV.

The Yanzhao Evening News said the boy learned how to drive by observing how his parents controlled the vehicle, although he had never driven a car before.

A spokesman for the local police department said he knew how to use it in a basic way but did not know how to drive properly. Reportedly, the police appeared shortly afterwards and told the parents of the two children quickly rushed to the scene. The police also reprimanded the father for losing his guard when leaving the child alone at home. In China, the legal driving age is 18 years or older. If a driver is under 18 and causes an accident, their guardian will be liable.
