Hong Kong police seized the largest amount of explosives on July 19, when they raided Lung Shing workshop on Texaco at 10:30 pm on July 19 (local time) and found more than 2. kg TATP, 10 gasoline bombs and many acidic substances are produced here, along with a lot of weapons.

In addition, sources from Hong Kong police said they would decide whether the incident was related to the protests scheduled to take place this weekend.

"Triacetone triperoxide (TATP) is a well-known explosive, it is unstable and dangerous. I think this is the largest ever explosive detainment in Hong Kong, ”said the head of the explosive handling unit, Alick McWhirter.

Mr. McWhiter also added that the explosive handling unit handled more than 1kg of TATP, and handling all the captured explosives would take a long time.

TATP explosives are often used by dangerous terrorists in the world, including the July 2007 bombing of London that killed 52 people and injured 700 people. This compound was also used in November 2015 in terrorist attacks in Paris, France or in the Belgian bombings in Brussels in 2016.
