At a meeting on the sidelines of the G20 summit that took place on Saturday (June 29), US and Chinese leaders agreed to restart trade talks. The decision came after the White House boss began concessions including not applying new tariffs and easing restrictions on Huawei technology company to ease tensions with Beijing.

"China has agreed to carry out transactions to buy new US agricultural products and return to the negotiating table," Mr. Trump posted on Twitter.

There is no specific deadline for the process of trade agreements between the US and China because the world’s two largest economies still have some conflicts that cannot be resolved.

“The quality of the negotiations for me is far more important than the speed at which they occur. I’m not in a hurry, but everything looks good! ”Mr. Trump added.

Before the meeting with President Xi Jinping in Japan, President Donald Trump threatened to impose a tariff of about $ 300 billion on Chinese imports.

In a statement about two-way talks, China’s Foreign Ministry quoted Xi at a meeting with President Trump that he hoped the US could "treat Chinese companies fairly".

"China is very sincere about continuing negotiations with the US ... but negotiations should be equal and show mutual respect," the Foreign Ministry quoted Xi Jinping.

Loosen sanctions with Huawei

Ending talks with President Xi Jinping, Mr. Trump said the US Department of Commerce will study for a few days about whether to remove Huawei from the list of companies banned from purchasing electronic components and technologies from American companies or not.

This is a decision to receive enthusiastic welcome and support from China.

"We are very welcome if the US does what they say," China’s Foreign Minister said.

Not only China, US technology electronics manufacturers also welcomed the move.

“In a statement, we learned that negotiations are restarting and additional taxes are being delayed. We look forward to more detailed information about the President’s comments on Huawei, ”said John John Johnuffuff, president of the US Semiconductor as‌sociation.

In addition President Trump said he and Chairman Xi Jinping did not discuss extradition proceedings for Ms. Machan Chu, Huawei’s chief financial officer, who was arrested in Canada in December with alleged micro Committing US sanctions.
