iPadOS was introduced by Apple with many powerful upgrades such as a better web browser, improved multitasking and especially wireless mouse support.
On the trial version of this operating system, users can pair with Bluetooth mice to control the device. This feature is expected to help iPads get powerful work like computers. However, its practical experience brings a lot of frustration.
According to Cnet , Apple seems to want to harden users when "deliberately" hiding this feature inside the settings. To activate, users will have to access via multiple steps including Settings -> General settings -> Accessibility -> AssistiveTouch and select the Bluetooth mouse feature.
When in actual use, the mouse pointer icon will display very large compared to the screen. In addition, it is modeled on what the finger touches the screen and can only operate with the click of a button. That means you can’t black out text like using a normal mouse.
"Currently, this feature is completely not useful to me. Apple needs to improve in upcoming updates so it can work better," said Steven Aquino, technology writer from Cnet .
Cnet identifies the prospect that iPads can fully work, replacing laptops that are still relatively remote.
