At the close, the Dow Jones index decreased by 1.11% to 25,490.47 points. S&P 500 dropped 1.19% to 2,822.24 points. The Nasdaq index dropped 1.58% to 7,628.28 points.
Influence from the world market, domestic stocks started the working day this morning was quite pulling about. The indexes kept shaking, when investors turned to sell off. The red spread on the electricity board, in which most stocks in VN30 reversed and dropped so VN-Index continued to widen the band and quickly pushed back to 975 points.
At the end of the morning session, the VN-Index dropped 4.7 points, or 0.48%, to 978.01 points. The total trading volume reached 71.72 million units, worth VND 1,785.55 billion. The whole market has 160 losers and 106 gainers.
On Hanoi trading floor, the selling pressure also increased strongly with great pressure from blue-chips, causing HNX-Index to break 106 points in this morning.
Closing the morning session, HNX-Index decreased by 0.61 points or 0.58% to 105.58 points. Total trading volume reached 16.26 million units, worth VND 228.1 billion. The whole market has 41 gainers and 73 losers.
