The game between the New England Patriots and the Chicago Bears marked a dream come true for a member of this show called Monday Night Football and it is not exactly a player, at least not an active one, it is the former quarterback of the New York Giants, Eli Manning on ESPN.
During the alternate broadcast that has the MVP of Super Bowl XLII and XLIV with his legendary brother Peyton Manning, known as the Manningcast of the game that closed week 7 of the NFL, Eli managed to have his star guest during the first quarter of the game, the former President of the United States, Barack Obama.
Eli Manning’s confession about Barack Obama
In the past week of Super Bowl LVI in Los Angeles, Eli Manning had confessed to TMZ Sports that his dream would be to have Obama on a Manningcast, the funny thing about this whole situation, is that the greatest wishes come true of the Bug Blue’s all-time leader in passing yards and touchdown passes happen with the Pats on a gridiron.
"Mr. President, Eli was approached by TMZ last year. They asked him ’who is your dream guest on the show,’ and he said it was you. I assume you were watching TMZ and felt pressure to come on the show, right?" Peyton Manning said in introducing Barack Obama to the broadcast.
Barack Obama lived most of his life in Chicago, so he has been very open about his fondness for the Bears in the NFL, so in addition to participating with the Manning brothers, he has taken enormous satisfaction in watching the team led by quarterback Justin Fields take the 33-14 win.
"I have to confess, TMZ is not on my remote really," President Obama said. "But, I was flattered when I heard about this, Eli."
