A mysterious object that is believed to be a UFO was spotted in the skies of Mexico recently. A video captured by a woman on her phone shows a vertical flying object in the sky. There have been multiple such cases of UFO spottings in Mexico in the recent past. The woman who was going by road in the state of Baja California in Mexico shared the video on social media after which it gained attention. The video gained prominence after a UFO expert Pedro Ramirez picked it up. Ramirez claimed that the UFO spotting was the ‘first sighting of 2018’.

While the video is not clear, it shows a vertical object in the sky. Now, there are various conspiracy theories being made about the spotting. Daily Mail quoted Ramirez as saying, “You can see that the tubular UFO is flying vertically over the city. “Aliens are aware that we have made a number of space launches recently and have identified that we have been sending up ‘war material’. Concerned by our activity, they have been increasingly monitoring our planet. This year will be very important for those of us who follow this phenomenon closely.”

In the video shared on social media, the woman can be heard saying “What is it?” as she follows it. The video went viral on the internet collecting a lot of views and shares. While most social media users suggested that it was a UFO, some said that if someone was testing a jetpack and the video is fake. UFO sightings in Mexico have been so common that there is a Wikipedia page detailing the same. It has alleged mentions of UFOs seen in the skies on Mexico since 1883.
