This is the latest in a series of significant diamonds mined in recent weeks. Last week, a Type II white diamond weighing 254 carats was also found in this mine.

Since the acquisition of Letšeng mine in 2006, Gem Diamonds has mined more than 60 large white diamonds per 100 carats each there. Last year alone, the company found 16 pills.

Despite the pandemic, last year, the company was quite efficient, with 34 diamonds sold for $ 1 million.

Earlier this year, the Lucara Diamond Mining Company of Canada also dug a 378-carat white diamond in the Karowe mine of Botswana (southern Africa). The diamond described by Lucara as "beautiful" and "excellent" belongs to the rare family.

According to experts, with volume and rarity, that diamond can cost $ 15 million (equivalent to about 345 billion dong).
