The video on youTube called MrMBB333 shared images of the strange creature that has been viewed more than 40,000 times.

The clip using Google Maps shows a skeleton like the remains of a creature lying in an arid valley surrounded by snowy mountains.

"It’s intact. I don’t know what it is. If it were a creature, how did it get here? It could be an old dinosaur with various things," MrMBB333 stated.

When enlarging the image, MrMBB333 even claimed to have discovered the strange creature’s fores and hind legs.

The video has now sparked a wave of controversy in the comment section, where a lot of viewers thought it was nothing more than a ... the seal was overworked.

"To me, it was like the remains of a seal," said one.

Another commented: "Google searches for the seal skeleton showing a pretty good match."

Some opinions suggest that the seal body has found its way to the mainland thanks to the moving ice.

But there are some who believe in the more bizarre theories: "It looks like an alligator skeleton, certainly some sort of terrestrial reptile."

In fact, conspiracy theorists have long claimed Antarctica contains a secret treasure under its surface, which will only be brought to light by the melting of ice caps.
