The Washington administration on October 19 announced the imposing of sanctions on individuals and organizations dealing with the Iranian shipping company Shipping Lines (IRISL).

The Reuters reported that 6 Chinese enterprises blacklisted by the U.S. include Reach Holding Group, Reach Shipping Lines, Delight Shipping, Gracious Shipping, Noble Shipping and Supreme Shipping.

The U.S. State Department sanctions list also has Eric Chen ( Chen Guoping) - CEO of Reach Holding Group and Daniel Y. He ( He Yi) - Chairman of Reach Holding Group.

The U.S. State Department accuses the six bodies of providing "important goods and services" used in connection with Iran’s transportation sector.

At the same time, the Washington administration accused Reach Holding Group and Reach Shipping Lines of helping IRISL and its subsidiaries evade U.S. sanctions.

The Reuters reported that, after being blacklisted, the as‌sets of these individuals and companies would be frozen under U.S. jurisdiction and U.S. citizens and companies would be barred from doing transactions with them.
