This person from Jilin province to Zhongshan Hospital, Shanghai City with his wife on 9/8 for a visit, the Shanghai Medical Committee said yesterday. On 11/8, he had a positive result for nCoV despite no symptoms, after the hospital conducted nucleid acid tests on patients admitted to the hospital.

He was transferred to a hospital for monitoring and treatment. Before that, in April, this patient was identified as an imported case but recovered and discharged.

Shanghai officials tracked 23 people who had contacted him and put them in isolation. These people are all negative. Areas he visited are also disinfected.

On August 12, a 68-year-old woman from Jingzhou City, Hubei Province, also tested positive for nCoV after being infected with the virus in February and recovered months ago. The patient is on isolation treatment, while those who have been in contact with her have had negative results.

Kinh Chau officials said there is currently no evidence of the risk of infection from re-positive nCoV cases. Health experts of other countries and the World Health Organization both believe that re-positive people are actually just in the process of eliminating the virus, not spreading pathogens to those around.
