This is Liverpool’s first match against another opponent since the 3-2 loss to Atletico Madrid on March 11.
Coach Juergen Klopp has played most of the first-team players, only missing Mohamed Salah and Andy Robertson. Roberto Firmino, meanwhile, is one of seven people who came on as a substitute and created a goal for Matip.
Liverpool are expected to play at least one more friendly match before officially starting the remaining matches of the Premier League 2019/20.
The "Red Brigade" is currently 25 points ahead of the second ranked team, Man City and only needs 2 more victories to officially win the championship for the first time since 1990.
