Following the direction of the Prime Minister, the Management Board of Yen Tu National Monument and National Forest held no Yen Yen festival on January 10; coordinating with Tung Lam Development Joint Stock Company to install 10 temperature gauges and remote body temperature monitors; equip disinfectant hand spray, add medicine cabinets at main pagoda points and along the pilgrimage route; strictly enforcing masks while on duty and giving away thousands of free medical masks to visitors.

In the past 10 days, the number of foreign visitors to Yen Tu has dropped sharply, of which nearly 30,000 Korean tourists have canceled tours to visit Yen Tu scenic spots due to concerns that the Covid-19 epidemic is increasing in Korea.

Mr. Le Trong Thanh, Deputy General Director of Tung Lam Development Joint Stock Company, said that in the last 2 weekends, the number of domestic visitors to Yen Tu increased by 300% compared to 10 days ago.

“The direction of the company’s stimulus is towards domestic customers by reducing the cable car fare, because stimulating by international visitors is currently very difficult. Hoping that the Covid-19 epidemic will end soon and be able to stimulate foreign visitors in the coming Fall and Winter, ”Thanh said.
