To prevent the rapid spread of the virus Corona, the researchers of the University of Queensland (Australia) are working around the clock to develop a vaccine against the virus that causes deadly pneumonia in in less than six months.

Researchers have been tasked with developing a vaccine using fast-response technology that has been shown to be effective against other viruses under laboratory conditions.

The team hopes to have a safe and effective vaccine to be distributed worldwide within 6 months and even without using live virus to make the vaccine. Instead, they will rely on a new technology called molecular clamping.

is based on DNA which uses the viral DNA sequence to create a protein that resembles the protein on the surface of the actual virus.

This protein has the ability to create immune system reactions that protect people. Dr Keith Chapplel of the University of Queesland said, "By injection, we can create an optimal immune response in people who need protection."

Now, scientists at the University of Queesland are one of three research groups around the world that are being asked to speed up research to find a vaccine against corona virus.

The team hopes that the molecular clamp technology will help the team successfully modulate the vaccine within 6 months. Currently, the team consists of 20 people who are working hard to achieve this difficult goal.

Dr. Keith Chappell, from Australia’s Institute of Biotechnology and Molecular Biology, said there is currently no vaccine for Corona virus that spreads through the respiratory tract. Symptoms include fever, shortness of breath, and cough.

Dr. Chappell said his team will do everything possible to have a safe vaccine by the end of July or earlier, if possible.

"It is our goal. It is an extremely urgent time frame, but we will try our best," he told ABC radio.

China has just confirmed nearly 2,000 cases of Corona virus infection causing acute pneumonia, as of January 25, while the number of deaths increased to 56.

The virus has spread from mainland China to Australia, Japan, Korea, Singapore, Thailand, the United States and Vietnam.

The focus of the disease is Wuhan, capital of Hebei province of China. Wuhan and more than a dozen other cities in the city were cordoned off, with traffic stalled and travel restricted.

The World Health Organization (WHO) has declared it "a state of emergency in China" but has not yet been an international concern, saying that most of the death victims are elderly and have suffered from many ailments before. when infected with Corona virus.
