City authorities Winnipeg (Canada) announced the Super 8 hotel incident on morning 9.7 (local time) made 46 people hospitalized with 15 severely affected.

City fire department leader Alex Forrest said this was a "very serious incident" and said the level of CO2 measured at the hotel was 385 parts per million, while the threshold was considered dangerous at 10-20 million.

After the alarm device sounded, the quick reaction force consisted of 8 fire trucks, many ambulances quickly appeared to evacuate the people inside. The victims were taken to many nearby hospitals for treatment.

By the evening of the same day, regional health spokesman Paul Turenne announced that most of the victims had been discharged from hospital and no one needed special treatment.

Currently authorities are investigating the source of CO emissions .

Hotel owner Justin Schinkel said that the internal gas system was closed and the fans were turned on to push the poison gas out of the building.

Mr. Schinkel said the hotel was recently inspected for fire and had never had a gas leak. “It is extremely unfortunate when this happens. I am very happy that the rapid response force has been present in time, "said Schinkel.
