Yesterday, when the League of Legends’ new game mode Teamfight Tactics (also known as the Truth Arena) docked the test server, it took the top spot on the number of viewers. Even three very popular games on Twitch, Grand Theft Auto V, Fortnite and League of Legends, were outperformed only when Teamfight Tactics was released an hour ago.

In early June, Riot Games introduced Teamfight Tactics as a new game mode with auto chess. Basically this mode is influenced quite a lot from Dota Auto Chess when there are quite a lot of similarities such as combining generals, choosing squad, upgrading equipment and fighting with 8 other players.

It can be said that Auto Chess is gaining a lot of attention from fans around the world. With this in mind, Riot Games immediately launched its own Auto Chess version, Teamfight Tactics, to pull back the vast majority of League of Legends users. The results at launch are quite successful when a lot of people follow this game mode. After 2 hours, there were more than 190,000 people watching Teamfight Tactics on Twitch.

It even pulls a lot of players into the test server just to ’touch it’ in this mode. This fever is so hot that LMHT’s test server is stuck with up to 9,000 people.

As expected, Teamfight Tactics will debut on version 9.13 of the League of Legends , which will be released on June 25th.
