US President Donald Trump has signed decrees to remove high taxes on aluminum and steel products imported from Canada and Mexico, effective from May 20.
The decree on imported steel has a paragraph that says: "Any imported steel item from Canada and Mexico is accepted into the US foreign trade area according to foreign privilege standards ... before 12 hours 1 minute by hour. The Eastern region on May 20, 2019 will not ... bear the 25% tax rate stipulated in the 9705 Amendment ".
A similar decree concerning imported aluminum items has also been announced.
