On April 19, Aso volcano in Kumamoto Prefecture, southwestern Japan, became active again after a small eruption was recorded.

According to the Japan Meteorological Agency, Aso volcano erupted at 8 hours 24 minutes (local time), with a column of dust and smoke as high as 400m.
