As Dan Tri reported, on May 14, 2020, the AAG cable had a second incident in the year, affecting the quality of international Internet services on the route. The cause was determined by a cable fault on the S1H branch, the connection from Vietnam to Hong Kong, which is 107.7 km from Vung Tau shore station.

According to the repair schedule published by international partners to Internet service providers (ISPs) in Vietnam, the incident occurred on May 14, 2020 on the AAG sea cable line, which began repairing on May 28. / 2020 and expected to be completed by 9h on 2/6/2020.

However, recently, an ISP representative in Vietnam said that the repair time for AAG cable was delayed to 6/6/2020 because due to the repair process, the international partner discovered more new break points. , need more time to fix.

While AAG is having problems, another sea cable line, APG, also has problems on S1.7 and S9, respectively, causing the total loss of Internet connection from Vietnam to international routes. Up to now, the plan of repairing APG cable has not been notified by international partners to ISPs in Vietnam.

Although up to 2 submarine cable lines are having trouble, Internet service users in Vietnam will still be able to access domestic content normally, because traffic to domestic websites is normally through. via domestic fiber optic infrastructure of telecommunication enterprises.

However, access to the Internet from Vietnam to overseas, including access to foreign services such as Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, etc. is expected to be more difficult than usual, until the incident of AAG and APG cables are overcome.
