Closing the July 8 session, the VN-Index dropped 8.99 points (0.92%) to 966.35 points. Trading volume reached more than 165 million shares, worth more than VND 3,482 billion. There were 108 gainers and 189 losers.

HNX - Index closed at 103.81 points, down 0.57 points (0.54%). Trading volume reached over 16 million shares, worth more than VND 279 billion. There were 52 gainers and 87 losers.

Red color covered the market right from the beginning of the session. A series of large-cap stocks declined, making the market lack of support. VN30 basket only 5 gainers, 2 stocks stood still, the rest were in red.

In today’s session, VHM, VIC, VNM, GAS, PLX, MSN were the stocks with strong impact, dragging the market down.

Specifically, VHM decreased 3.5% to 83,000 VND / share, VIC decreased 0.6% to 116,000 VND / share, VNM fell 1.6% to 124,200 VND / share, GAS decreased 0.6%, MSN decreased by 0.6%, PLX fell by 0.9%.

Banking stocks also contributed to pressure on the market when VCB fell 1.8%, BID decreased 0.8%, CTG decreased 1.2%, TCB decreased 2.1%.

On the other hand, the green color was stained in some stocks such as HVN, HNG, SAB. However, the increase is not strong enough to pull the market up.

Foreign investors saw a strong net buying today. On HOSE, foreign investors bought more than 4.2 million units, worth over VND170 billion.

PLX led the net buying list of foreign investors today with a value of over VND 76 billion. Next is DGW with over 29 billion dong, KBC of over 21 billion dong, and MSN of over 16 billion dong.

PVT led the net selling with over 16 billion dong, followed by HPG of over 15 billion dong, HDB of over 9 billion dong.

On the HNX, foreign investors net bought 4,500 units worth more than VND 426 million, TNG led the net buying with a value of more than VND 700 million.
